I agree with many of things mentioned in the article below about Generation Y (Gen Y) and the sense of entitlement that is appearing with that generation.

I work a lot with Gen Y and see entitlement very often. It concerns me as this entitlement mixed with aspiration is potentially going to lead to this generation being overpromoted and lacking the experiences of life and work.

The 'I want it now' culture is on the creep throughout society. For instance, people are not prepared to wait to see their doctor. Instead, they rush off to Accident and Emergency (A&E) for immediate treatment - overloading A&E who are trying to deal with real emergencies.

It could come as a cold hard shock to Gen Y when they eventually find out that rewards do not come on a silver salver without hard work and a set of skills.
